Metamorphosis Monday!

Pat from Back Porch Musings did a wonderful article on her Blog about my home Taken from my blog photos here with photos for what is called Metamorphosis Monday! The photos recall some of my remodeling projects in our home. Thank you so much Pat for such a nice feature on my home!

Please visit her Blog to see her article on my home and others that she and other Bloggers do on Mondays. Her list of followers have wonderful Blogs of their own, and by following their links you will be in Blog heaven for some time!

I show how I did some of my home projects
on my other Blog 'My Home Projects'.
Check it out.

Because of Pat's posting my photos and links to my Blog...on her blog... I hit over 20,000 hits on my counter! I got over 730 hits (as of tonight) from Pat's cyber blogger friends who visited me! Thanks!

Paintergal,
Thanks for stopping by to let me know what you thought of the feature! She did a great job, I am honored!

Marty,
Thanks! I did all the math and drew everything up first and then drew it out on the wall so my husband could just connect the dots! His craftsmanship was the frosting on the cake!

Hello! What a lovely home you have! That molding in your foyer- OH! I would love to do that in my dining room, but I suppose I ought to get an actual floor down over the plywood first, ha ha! Thanks for letting Pat share your pictures with us all!

I enjoyed Pat's post. So glad she introduced me to your blog. I find your decorating so attractive-- for me, it recalls the 30s and 40s, which will be my aim for our new house.

Madame Meg,
Thanks so much for visiting here! It good to have a plan! I had a plan when we put in the columns and then I found the larger mirror over the mantel, that was it, the direction was set for me. I have always loved Duncan Phyfe furniture so I started my hunting for one.

curtissann,
Thank you! I plan on visiting everyone's blogs as soon as I get the time! I love the 30's and 40's, the furniture had more copies of the refined true styles. I have always loved the 'Bogart' collection of Thomasville too. I like that Hollywood mix in with the era and a bit more glitz. But, in this house, which is Colonial, and the area is near Colonial Williamsburg, it made more sense to stick with a more relaxed style for this house. I have enjoyed it for 7 years. The Duncan Phyfe with the splayed legs gives support to Egyptian (it's roots) modern, and Tropical (such as with Island look). Another style I love is the Empire style, I am collecting a few pieces of that style now to work with in the next house.

Hi Mary Ruth!
I knew you would be a hit, with my readers. I am so happy!

I have no idea how many hits I get, because I never figured out how to put a counter on! Not too computer savvy.

Pat!
Thank you again so much! I put a counter on because I was insecure... ha ha wanted to know for sure if people were coming by! I am so happy when they leave a comment!

You don't have to be computer savvy, because you are just SAVVY!

MR, it couldn't have happened to a better blogger! What a great write-up! You already know how I feel about your soon-to-be-ex home!

Congrats!

Ellen!
Great to see you here! Thanks hon! Everyone who sees it (house hunting) loves it and actually get weak in the knees when they enter! BUT, financing is hard to get around here! And a couple of interested people have to sell their house first! That makes everything move real slow.

I just read Pat's post about your home & ran over to visit! Your home is simply stunning! Hubby is going to hear about your headboard - I'm so in awe of it! Love the built in in the dining room. That would certainly help a small area that I'd like to put a buffet in.

I'm a follower of yours now too! ♥ Diane
