New mulch in front yard

We added some new pine bark nuggets to the front yard. I like the texture of this mulch. You are looking at 4 yards of mulch! We are preparing the house for sale so there is a lot of primping going on around the inside and outside of the house! In the front where the mulch is, there is a mound and a pile of extra mulch that was later moved, that is where we had it dumped when it was delivered.

Hi Mary Ruth!

The house looks as pretty as I remember it! Exciting stuff & hard work to prepare for a move! Your beautiful home should sell in a flash for top dollar! Then it's off to a new home to decorate...fun!

Hi Chris! Thanks for leaving a comment!
The worst is yet to come! The dreded GARAGE! ha ha!
WE are almost done with yard work, now the 'trashy' stuff is going out. By the end of July we should be almost done with preparation. I am confident we will sell... no problem. A house just sold down the street in a few days! (in our neighborhood!)

I hate getting ready for a sale. I have to sell my parents home and I am not looking forward to it at all.

Your home always looks lovely inside and out.

Good luck in the sale.

Oh I don't envy you! Thank you! We are working hard to get it ready, after the year we just had so much has to be done! We are just doing what we can everyday, and somehow things get done!

Mary Ruth, how can you bear to leave your lovely home? It is darling and you have it decorated so beautifully.

So where are you moving to? Close by or out of state? Best wishes to you in completing your projects and getting it sold.

Well, it is a house. We knew we would not be here forever. It was more of an investment. We want to go to Florida. We would then be closer to my grandchildren!
Thanks for visting!

Thanks Judith!
I am actually getting nervous & excited as we wind down the unfinished 'projects'! I think it will be the first time I have ever had a home where there was no 'honey-do list'! So this will be a FIRST!

Mary Ruth,

Your home is beautiful. Moving is always such a big chore, but think of all of the decorating possibilites of a new home. Good luck in your new home.

I have the same buffet (table, six lyre back chairs and china cabinet) from Sears. I'm really curious what it cost and what year in the 40s it was made.

Hi Sandi!
I just answered your email! Thanks for stopping by and sharing your wonderful story and comments!
I LOVE the lyre back chairs! Those are the best!
Thanks, and I am thinking ahead of how to decorate incorporating more colors especially corals and Spring greens and black & white for punch.
