Tea Time!

It was cold out today! But I was warm by my fireplace with a homemade scone (mocha with cocolate chips) and Tazo's Calm tea.
Recipe for above on Scones n More (my recipe Blog)
Below: Raspberry-Almond and coconut scones.

Below is a morning (Pero) grain drink I enjoy with my whole grain muffin (from Trader Joe's) and it was Easter time.

A warm fire aaahhh. Isn't nice to set things up for yourself. Even if it's only for a short time. Tea or coffee in front of a fire how nice.

I just love your Blog! I will visit often!
Thanks! I am practicing staging vignettes for pictures. My arm shakes and so to stop my pictures from becoming blurry my friend Judith suggested a tripod. Well, that opened up a whole new world for me in photography! Now, I consider content, lighting, angles! I think it is so much FUN!
Thanks for coming by!

Mary Ruth,
I am also practicing staging vignettes and tablescapes and I received a lot of advice from Judith. I asked for a tripod for my birthday coming up this month and maybe I'll look for some type of spotlight since I dislike how the flash makes pictures look. I am hoping that will improve my photography skills a little. I learn from your pictures as well and really like how the teatime ones turned out and overall I enjoy your blog a lot and will be abck daily to check out what is new :).

Hi Mary Ruth
I was at TJ Maxx this afternoon and saw a coffee pot and it reminded me of you and your style. It is white and black with palm trees and zebra's on it. I though how perfect that would be on a morning with a spring day. Or by the fire with coca in it.
Just had to let you know.

Glenda!
I may have to set up something with you as my personal shopper! Wow! I am sure that was a great teapot!
Thanks for thinking of me!
I have not had time at the computer for a week so I need to get back to posting and going to visit my favorite Blogs! Yours is one of them!

Oh it all looks so inviting! Wish I had the space to decorate like this!!! Thank you for visiting my blog - I'm glad you enjoyed the beach photos! =)

We are going to sell soon, (DH's work ended here) so I won't have the space anymore either! I have loved playing with the Colonial look that is prevelent here and mix it with my other stuff.

I was thinking of doing a more modern setting in the next house. But, I have to buy it first (going to Florida eventually!) to see how the house talks to me. It may ask for something totally different! I usually wait until I have been in the house a month or so before knowing what to do. This was move #30 for me! We had military moves... so that accounts for high number! Thanks for visiting! Will visit your blog often! The beach calls to me!

Mary Ruth I can't believe I won't be seeing your home like this in the future. You gave me inspiration to look at Duncan Phyfe furniture.
I would love to find a dinning table.
Wow #30 in moves. It's so unimaginable to me about moving that many times. I don't like that packing, you must have it down to a science by now. I do hope you continue to blog in your new home whenever that may be. Theirs a lucky person out there that's going to move into your home.

Nothing better than a cup of tea and a scone for cold weather, I'm sure you enjoyed yourself. Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog, I just discovered yours that way. Your home looks cozy by the fire.

glenda,
I am glad I took lots of pictures as we decorated this house! I won't miss the 'work' of a house this size though.
I willl continue with my blog wherever we end up! Now that I have the picture 'bug' I will continue to post pictures of vignettes and projects I do.
I know that a realtor said that whomever buys this house will feel they 'won the lottery'! ha ha!

rosy inspiration,
Thanks for your warm post while visiting my Blog today! I love a real fire, but a gas fireplace will do for now!

I will visit your Blog soon!
